University of Florida Rotaract

The University of Florida's Rotaract club is a division of the International Service Organization Rotary International. What I love and admire about this organization is that the motto, "Service Above Self" is truly implemented in local, national, and international levels. From donating food for our backpack club to help feed Gainesville children to volunteering at Give Kids the World to raising money for Wells for Zoë, it's rewarding to see that your service is helping to better the lives of others regardless of their geographic location.

University of Florida Global Studies Group

Global Studies Group, formerly known as International Studies Club, was and continues to be an amazing opportunity to learn more about different world events and sectors. From having Peace Corps recruiters come and speak to participating in International Education Week to hosting discussions about the effects of Brexit, GSG gives students the chance to learn more about relevant topics that are prominent in today's world discussions.

University of Florida French Club

UF's French Club gave members the opportunity to not only meet exchange students from Science Po in Paris but to also learn more about French and Francophone culture while at the same time improving your French language skills. My first ever event that I attended for French Club was a Moroccan themed tea social where we ate and drank traditional Moroccan food and beverages as well as learned about their culture and history through a trivia game. From culture nights to socials at Lake Wauburg, French club allowed for members to get a taste of French culture without leaving Gainesville.
